I have a large collection of books back home and whenever I need to look for a certain volume, I spend a lot of time searching. One solution I came across was from All My Books, a handy program which helped me keep track of any book within my library.
The best part about using this application is that it communicates well with most popular book websites, like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Powells and many others. When adding a new book to your database, the program can look for details regarding the book on the previously mentioned websites and help you fill out the form more accurately.
Another aspect that on some occasions might prove to be of good use is the ability to keep a record of all loaned books. However, I would've liked to have the option to be informed of the due date for rented books, as I usually forget to return my books on time. The program also gets a plus for allowing me to back up the created database; this way, I won't have to worry about losing information in case my system gets infected.
Bottom line, I would recommend All My Books to any user who intends to monitor their book collections at a reasonable price.
